From January 10, 2020, an adventure facility at the Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort located at the Tsugaike Nature Park in the Chubu Mountains National Park will launch the Hakuba Tsugaike SNOW WOW! (Snow Wow). It is a winter-only activity that allows families visiting the ski area to enjoy the fun of playing with the snow together with Shimajiro and to experience the nature and culture of Nagano.
The collaboration program consists of four zones, where you can experience winter-specific activities and deepen your interest in and understanding of winter nature.
Also, during the program period, two buses and a gondola with “Shimajiro” and illustrations of friends will be wrapped to excite the willingness to participate.

Activities include:
- Kamakura zone
In the kamakura, you can bring a take-out menu from the bonfire lounge or the nearest cafe so that parents and children can relax and enjoy extraordinary experiences.
- Commemorative photo spot
You can take a commemorative photo with a life-size panel of Shimajiro friends and a 2.5-meter long “Shijimajiro” snow statue.
- Sledding and sliding zone
It is a 16-meter long gently sloping slope that can be safely enjoyed by small children. This is an undulating and tiring course, perfect for snowy mountain debut.
- TAKARA SEARCH zone
A quiz and a riddle that will expand your interest and knowledge of the winter plants and animals of Tsugaike. Find the capsule buried in the snow, take the number tag inside it to the indoor space, and you will get a “Hakuba Tsugaike Quiz Card” to take on the quiz. There are a total of 10 types of cards, and the fun of collecting is also interesting to children.
