Three characters of Pokemon will be inaugurated as “ Thank you for reconstruction Host town” Ambassadors

Since April 2018, Pokémon has been promoting “Pokemon Local Acts” to select “Pokemon” for lots of regions and to communicate the appeal of each region both domestically and internationally. Through this activity, more people visit each region and become fans of both the region and Pokemon and a new initiative in this activity, the cooperation to “Thank you for reconstruction host town ” was decided.

Seiko Hashimoto, the Tokyo Olympic Games and Paralympic Games ministers were appointed three Pokemonon “Ishitsubte, Laplace, Lucky” as host town ambassadors of the thanks for the reconstruction on November 4th.
The Pokémon currently recommends in the three prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures).

■ What is “Thank you for the reconstruction host town”?

“Thank you for the reconstruction host town” is a country that has received support in the event of the Great East Japan Earthquake for local governments in the three prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures) with the aim of realizing the Reconstruction Olympics and Paralympics・ Thanks to the local people and exchanges with residents while seeing the reconstruction being undertaken. This is being promoted by the Secretariat of the Cabinet Secretariat Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Promotion Headquarters.

■ About Pokémon and local initiatives

Since April 2006, Pokémon has been working with Kagawa Prefecture, Hokkaido, Tottori Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, and Miyagi Prefecture to carry out various initiatives “Pokemon Local Acts”. By selecting “Pushmon Pokemon” for each region, we aim to increase the fans of both by trying to communicate the charms of each region and the charm of each Pokemon at home and abroad simultaneously.
