SAO is an anime describing the mysterious next-generation online game world ‘Sword Art Online’ created by Mr. Reki Kawahara, which won the 15th Dengeki Novel Prize. The anime is about the adventure story of the main character Kirito. This time, taking the Kokura Castle as the background, Kirito, Asuna and Alice in the anime are dressed like Musashi Miyamoto, Kojiro Sasaki and Gracia Hosokawa with the representative swords in the collaboration with Kokura Castle. During the collaboration, limited goods, photo spots would be available and there would have mascot costumes.
The event organizer is Kitakyushu Town Development Management Team. Speaking of Kokura Castle, Musashi Miyamoto and Kojiro Sasaki would be the representative characters. So in during the collaboration period, the special goods with Kirito in Musashi style (as both of them are dual wield), Asuna in Kojiro style and Alice in Gracia style would be available. On top of the photo spots, cosplay, ‘Kirito’ and ‘Asuna’ would also appear on the stage of Kokura Castle cherry blossom festival. The collaboration has become a hot topic.
The highest tower (Tenshukaku) has been closed from August last year for the renovations. After the renewal, a new hospitality station ‘Shiro Terrace’ is also open nearby the new Tenshukaku. Monuments of Musashi Miyamoto and Kojiro Sasaki are put in the open space in front of the castle. To commemorate the reopen, there would have a ceremony and private viewing would be held on 29th Mar.
