Yokohama has signed contract with Pokemon Company to do collaboration event every year until 2020 to attract more inbound and outbound tourists to visit Yokohama during Tokyo 2020 Olympics. It has been 3 years consecutively that Yokohama has held events which involved the famous Pokemon character Pikachu by bringing tons on Pikachu mascot to the venue. For this year as the 4th year, they are planning to bring more than 1,500 Pikachu mascots with many other Pokemon friends, to boost up the event even more.

This year, the Pikachu Parade will be taken place at Nihon-Oodori. The parade will be scaled up from 50 mascots last year to 100 mascots this year. With the dancers and performers, the parade will feature Latin music so that everyone can enjoy.
Furthermore, the visitors will be able to meet many Pikachu within the venue of Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse both around the shop area and the highly beloved “Powdery Splash Show” event. For this year, Pikachu will also can be found on the sky and in the sea.
